The Structured Cabling Crew installs and certifies the copper cabling infrastructure that supports all data, voice, and building systems for Fortune 500 clients. These technicians execute precision cable pulls, terminations, and Fluke certification testing across large-scale commercial environments — from new construction buildouts to tenant improvement projects. All work must meet or exceed TIA/EIA-568 standards and client specifications with zero defects.
Pull, route, and support Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A copper cabling through cable trays, J-hooks, conduit, and plenum spaces per design specifications
Terminate cables at patch panels, keystones, and RJ-45 connectors using T568A/T568B wiring standards
Install and dress MDF/IDF racks including patch panels, cable management, and labeling per client standards
Perform Fluke DSX certification testing (channel and permanent link) and document all test results for client acceptance
Install cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and other cable pathway support systems
Read and interpret construction blueprints, floor plans, and low-voltage design drawings
Maintain clean job sites, coordinate with general contractors and other trades, and adhere to site safety protocols
